Slovenia’s Finance Ministry has proposed a 25% tax on crypto profits such as capital gains from crypto sales. The tax will be imposed on crypto-to-fiat conversions or when individuals use crypto to pay for goods and services. The proposal, which is open for public participation, aims to balance crypto taxation with capital investment taxes. It is expected to generate up to €25 million annually for Slovenia. Crypto-to-crypto transactions and wallet transfers will remain exempt from the tax.
